What is in the PDF

  • Trace, write and find each sight word, three words per page
  • Six short sentences to read
  • Answer key for the find and circle rows

How to use this printable

Print the PDF at 100 percent scale on US Letter or A4 paper. Give the child a pencil or crayons. Start with pages 1 and 2. Help the child trace each sight word with a finger first, then write it with the pencil. Ask the child to find and circle the matching word in the row. Repeat for all six words. Turn to page 3. Read each short sentence aloud together. Point to each word as you read. Let the child try to read the sentences alone. Use page 4 to check the circled words. The child learns to recognize, write, and read six common sight words: I, a, can, see, go, we. This builds reading fluency and writing confidence.

Teaching tips

  • Let the child use a different color crayon for each word to make the activity more fun.
  • After the child finishes a page, ask them to point to each word and say it out loud again.
  • Laminate the pages or put them in a plastic sleeve so the child can use a dry erase marker and practice again.
